Why ABC Guards?
To ensure top notch hospitality and professionalism – all our guards are required to speak both English and Afrikaans and have a Grade 12 qualification.
By law, all ABC Security guards are required to have a PSIRA qualification. What does this mean?
- Fingerprints are taken to ensure no previous criminal record
- Our guards would have needed to pass all theory and knowledge tests required by PSIRA – these are dependent on the grade- A,B,C and D
- We employ only RSA citizens
- Remuneration of our guarding compliment is strictly according to PSIRA, and gazetted statutory rates
- We believe in continuous on-the-job training.
- A risk assessment with recommendations is completed before we start on any guarding site.
- Our Guarding sites automatically depend on Armed Reaction services from ABC Armed Response in times of need

Long Term Contractual Guarding

Short Term Temporary Guarding
- We can supply temporary Officers at any given stage for a certain period. If it is 1x Shift or over a 6 Month period, we are able to minimize your risk at any given stage for those unexpected requirements.

- Security Officer equipped with an Eco-Scooter to constantly patrol and assist in a certain area. This usually refers to residential neighbourhoods, creating immediate responses to alert others while keeping an eye on your property and assets.
Roaming Guard On Schooter – Student Protection
- In response, ABC Security and Buzzer have launched a safety package focused on crime prevention and rapid response. Our goals are to deter incidents and provide immediate support when needed, working closely with local authorities to restore safety for all students and make Stellenbosch a secure place to learn and thrive.
Virtual Guarding (CCTV) – A smarter layer of oversight
To further enhance security, ABC Security offers Virtual Guarding — we install a free on-site camera at a strategic blind spot, along with a Guard, feeding footage to our control room. This camera is monitored using AI technology that detects specified activity. Any alert is verified by our operators and, if necessary, escalated to our armed response or site supervisor.
Community Guards - Sponsored by ABC Security
We take great pride in protecting our neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Our overflow guards are redeployed into the community and actively walk hot spot crime areas as “Crime Spotters”, relaying any irregularities to the Control Centre and Armed Response.
